Default So I'll start the first Roadkill thread (this is a good one)

I took this from another forum I post on. This was the thread I created several years ago when I owned my 94 civic hatchback.
So i'm coming home from work in my civic, when i get on the ramp on 199 heading towards newport news. i pass another civic hatch with a few people in it that's lowered with rims, tint and exhaust next to me but think nothing of it. A few seconds after i pass him he speeds up and gets next to me. well its pouring rain and i know this isn't the best place or time to do any type of racing so i did nothing. after a few seconds of him sitting there, i speed up about 5mph hoping he'd go away or fall back. when he came back this time im annoyed and decided to punch it for a second. keep in mind im on the long straight away part of 199 and there's no traffic around me at the moment. i drop it into third floor it for about 2 seconds and let off, slowing down, figuring he'd do the same and we'd go on our way. i look in my rearview and hes about ten cars behind, he must not of even tried prolly only got up to 70. (its a 55)..i slowed back down to about 60and kept driving. keep in mind its still pouring rain, were now approaching traffic, and we've just gotten to the sharp turn part of 199. i look in my rearview and am surprised to see him coming up from behind very quickly. when i look in front of me there is a utility truck directly in front of me in the right lane and im in the left lane and this kid is flying up from behind and im wondering where the hell he plans on going. he passed me at about 90-100, and right before he would have hit the utility truck he swerves over in the emergency lane, still flooring it, goes around the truck (were still on a long curve) and immediately swerves across both lanes (i guess in an attempt to cut me off?)

I see his car fishtail only a few feet in front of my car, i slam on the brakes, as he tries to straighten out and he over corrects and his car is now sideways at about 70 mph, sliding. he hits the wall with the nose of his car, and i see his bumper fly off and the front of his car crumple up. the car is still only a few feet in front of me still sliding at over 40mph and i can see the frightened look of the driver and passenger in the car. after the car hit the first wall it bounces off of it and slams into the opposite side of the guardrail hard, and the guys entire back half of the car gets pushed in up to the back wheels, his hatch popped open, and it finally slides to a stop. i stop as well in the middle of 199 along with the utility truck and we get out and run up to the people in the car. they all get out and were ok minus a few scrapes and bruises.

I hung around for a minute or two in case i had to give a statement after i called 911 for them.the car was completely totaled, pieces of it were everywhere. i walked up to the guy after making sure everyone was ok and asked him what the hell he was was thinking . he said he knew it was dumb and his parents were going to be so mad......at this point state police arrived and said no statement was needed for a single vehicle accident, the trooper smiled and said "sucks for him" and walked away. so i grabbed a few cell phone pics of the car and left.

and the pics....

Somewhere right after you get off of the Wal-mart exit heading to Route 5.

SO was this a pretty much stock ass hatch with wheels and a fart can? Or was it a major loss, like something halfway decent?
